We had looked at a few wedding venues but instantly fell in love with Danby Castle Barn as soon as we saw it! The ruins are spectacular and the views are amazing across the moors. The weather in February could be interesting but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!

Important – In the probably very likely event of adverse weather conditions, traveling directly across the moors from Pickering is probably best avoided.
It will be better to take the main road from Pickering to Whitby but we’ll post updates on that depending how the weather is shaping up!
Train Station
There is a station in Danby, located about 1.7 miles from the venue. There are direct trains to Newcastle and Middlesbrough and Whitby, however, they are not very frequent (4 a day) so check nationalrail.co.uk carefully!
